Accounting Assistant - Culver City

 

 

The accounting assistant works alongside the controller and bookkeepers and is responsible for facilitating the efficient and accurate delivery of high-quality data entry.

This person will work across all types of applications including Dropbox, Quickbooks Online, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Slack.

The right candidate is detail oriented, organized, self-starting, thrives under pressure, and is a motivating and positive presence on the team.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

 

  • Process Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable

  • Must be able to reconcile credit card and bank accounts

  • Controlling correspondence and email filtering

  • Keeping all files organized and current

  • Scanning of invoices and /or receipts

 

  • Work with vendors and agencies, to get answers and negotiate for exceptions where needed

  • Proactively identify potential challenges, problem solve and communicate issues to relevant team

  • Coordinate delivery of final accounting files

  • Foster a productive atmosphere among team members that is conducive to creating superior creative and technical executions

 

Requirements:

 

  • 2 plus years experience working in an accounting or finance agency.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite of products. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides)

  • Creative and strategic thinker

  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask

  • Strong organization skills

  • Deadline and detail oriented

  • Ability to self-start and work well independently as well as collaborate favourably in a team environment

  • Strong relationship building skills
